The Studio Seminar

Interested in learning about the arts on campus while meeting your new neighbors?

Join The Studio Fall Seminar! Led by our Faculty Director, Helen Lee, Professor of Glass in the Art Department, our Seminar is a great way to meet other residents in The Studio and discover where arts are located throughout our vast campus. Visit places like Glass Lab, Printmaking studio, School of Music. Plus enjoy workshops presented by visiting faculty!

The Black Box Theater

The Black Box Theater is an interdisciplinary performance space with a professional lighting grid and audio/visual system. We also use the Black Box for our Seminar courses and for community events. Residents have access to our Black Box space 24 hours a day!

The Hive

The Hive is a creative space that features a wide array of materials and equipment for art exploration. Materials, which are supplied based on resident interest, may include acrylic paint, gouache, watercolor, yarn, thread, adhesives, fixatives. Equipment includes sewing machines, easels, seamless backdrop rolls, Cricut, lightbox.

The Recording Studio

The Recording Studio is our music and sound exploration space. It is furnished with a Mac desktop computer loaded with a variety of creative software tools, a MIDI keyboard, condenser and dynamic mics, a keyboard, upright piano, drum kit, and amps plus other equipment residents may gain access to check out.
