Another Semester in a Pandemic? The Studio has You Covered!

While we are still in the least ideal circumstances for activities on campus, with constant testing, regulated quarantine, and online classes, The Studio has a range of ways to get you creating and keeping you creative.

SHOWCASE ON FEBRUARY 25

By now, hopefully you’ve gotten to see the magic and the amazingness that is the Showcase. From music to visual art to fashion, it is an opportunity to share anything you have worked on, from the past or even the start of an idea that you like. If you missed our latest showcase and want to see what could be in store, here is a highlight reel of the December 2020 showcase, made by Studio alum Grace Wallner.

CUSTOM SOUND PANELS

Starting at the end of February, we will relocate one of the sound panels that normally live in the Creative Lab to the Hive. We will provide kits of fabrics and sewing materials for you to create a large collage to then sew onto the panels. Once a panel is done, then we will switch out and perhaps assign a new theme for every panel.

More information will come soon on how you can participate on your own time and see the formation of a large sound panel collage.

PROJECT THRIFT 2021 (kind of)

In March, we usually hold our largest in-person event of the year, Project Thrift! However, because we are in a pandemic… we have come up with an alternative. We will provide a large amount of thrifted clothes, fabrics, textiles, and other accessories. Using your kits, you can team up or go solo on trying to curate the best 3 outfits from head to toe in ONE week!

In a regular Project Thrift, this whole process usually happens in one day. If you want to see the highlight reel for our 2020 Project Thrift for some inspiration, we also got you covered!

Thank you all for sticking with us as we figure how to continue to make great things happen here at The Studio. MORE will be coming soon!

Love From the Studio!
