Hello Studio!
We are already a good way into first semester, but that doesn’t mean we at The Studio are done with awesome events!
Coming up in November, we have follow up workshops with both Daniel Kaplan in sound design and Aaron Granat in video editing. These workshops are great opportunities to learn more about a topic you are already experienced in, or to discover something completely new that you may be curious about. Daniel recently released a new track and video (link) and Aaron won an award for his work on this video from Dance Magazine!
On November 14th, we will host a podcast making workshop with the campus radio station, WSUM! This is a super interesting chance to learn about the world of podcast creation, a growing form of media that anybody can do! WSUM is an amazing group on campus, and they definitely know what they’re talking about when it comes to the topic. See here for some examples of what they do.
On November 15, Faisal will host a workshop on Professionalism in the Arts. As artists, being able to make a living out of your craft is a huge part of creating a career out of your passion. Among those coming to the workshop will be former Studio resident Alexander Kain and First Waver Dequadray! This workshop will be both intriguing and helpful as you grow and develop your art into something that has the potential to support you!
Last, but not least, Seminar!
Still to come, we have Jolin Van Winkle’s Audiovisual Storytelling Workshop, Tom Dale’s Construct Your Own Monument Workshop, Handphibians Drumming Workshop, a Thankstaking Dinner, and a trip the Glass Lab!
We can’t wait to experience these – along with a few other – events with you all! The rest of the semester is looking very vibrant and informative! In the meantime, check out these photos from events so far this semester.
